FINTECH65 2022 Alumni
Fintech65 was set up to celebrate the best of Singapore’s Fintech talent while also highlighting opportunities amongst the leaders for peer-to-peer learning and mentorship. Fintech65 initiative invites members of the Fintech community to nominate established and emerging leaders and founders across different nomination categories each year. Fintech65 honors and recognizes these industry trailblazers who have demonstrated their work, vision, leadership, and innovation in driving forward Singapore’s Fintech industry.

An ideal Fintech Product Leader is based in Singapore for over a year, leading a team in a company regulated by MAS or serving in the financial sector. This leader excels in a product-centric role, whether as a manager, owner, designer, or engineer, driving innovation and excellence.

Woman Investor in Fintech
Woman Investor in Fintech, based in Singapore for over a year, showcases her acumen by directly investing in or aiding her company with at least three deals in the past two years. Whether an angel investor, sole capitalist, or a pivotal member of a VC/PE/FO, her influence and strategic decisions bolster Singapore's fintech ecosystem.

An ideal Woman in Fintech is based in Singapore for a minimum of one year, representing an early-stage company with less than 5M SGD in revenue. Her firm is either MAS-regulated or contributes as a financial service product/service/enabler, demonstrating her pioneering spirit in the fintech landscape.

Leslie Ho | Ong Swee Keng LLC | Friends of FinTech | Leslie Ho is the main notary for Ong Swee Keng LLC. You would ask - why a notary as a friend of fintech, but the level of notarization for company registration, board appointments, all document submission with regulators in the region and in Europe is immense. Leslie always makes the notarization process streamlined, quick and cheap - without her, we would have spent way over SGD 100,000 just to appoint our board members for Tyme and the same for Pave Bank. Melvin founded Starboard (under the brand Stellar) with the vision of a Company Operating System™ that enables founders to start and run global companies with ease. It provides a comprehensive range of corporate services — starting with company incorporation, accounting, bookkeeping, payroll and will soon offer a full ‘stack’ of corporate and financial services for companies in Singapore and the US.
Before Starboard, Melvin co-founded YFind Technologies — an Indoor Positioning Technology company that enables precise targeting of location-based advertising content, and provides detailed indoor location-analytics to retailers and mall operators. The company was acquired by NYSE-listed Ruckus Wireless, Inc. in 2013.
Earlier in his career as a marketing professional, Melvin used emerging ‘Web 2.0’ technologies to define new strategies and techniques in marketing and communications. He started and ran the Asia Pacific digital business unit for global communications agency — WE Communications — growing it from zero to a team of over thirty professionals, serving Fortune 500 clients, banks and Singapore government agencies before he left the firm.
Melvin graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication, and started out his career as an Infantry Officer. | |
Oi-Yee Choo | URA | Women Board Members | Oi Yee has spent 25 years in finance, navigating through two financial crises, and witnessing the rise of electronic trading, the development of the S-REIT market, and the growth of the Singapore fintech sector. Each milestone transformed the finance and investment landscape, enhancing transparency, accountability, and investment opportunities. She is passionate about leading companies that leverage technology to boost financial inclusion and deliver superior value to stakeholders. She has a broad experience of serving on listed and non profit boards. |
