FINTECH65 2022 Alumni

Fintech65 was set up to celebrate the best of Singapore’s Fintech talent while also highlighting opportunities amongst the leaders for peer-to-peer learning and mentorship. Fintech65 initiative invites members of the Fintech community to nominate established and emerging leaders and founders across different nomination categories each year. Fintech65 honors and recognizes these industry trailblazers who have demonstrated their work, vision, leadership, and innovation in driving forward Singapore’s Fintech industry.

 

In 2023,  Fintech65 recognized 65 leaders across the following four categories:​

Fintech Product Leader

An ideal Fintech Product Leader is based in Singapore for over a year, leading a team in a company regulated by MAS or serving in the financial sector. This leader excels in a product-centric role, whether as a manager, owner, designer, or engineer, driving innovation and excellence.

Woman Investor in Fintech

Woman Investor in Fintech, based in Singapore for over a year, showcases her acumen by directly investing in or aiding her company with at least three deals in the past two years. Whether an angel investor, sole capitalist, or a pivotal member of a VC/PE/FO, her influence and strategic decisions bolster Singapore's fintech ecosystem.

An ideal Woman in Fintech is based in Singapore for a minimum of one year, representing an early-stage company with less than 5M SGD in revenue. Her firm is either MAS-regulated or contributes as a financial service product/service/enabler, demonstrating her pioneering spirit in the fintech landscape.

Woman in Corporate

Woman in Corporate (Fintech) is a trailblazer in Singapore's fintech scene, with over a year's tenure. She's part of a robust firm, boasting revenues exceeding 5M SGD, evidencing significant growth. Her company, regulated by MAS or a key financial service provider, benefits from her leadership and vision.

Huey Lin

Women Board Members
Huey Lin is the leading women board member of Singapore's fintech scene. She is on the board of Hang Seng Bank in Hong Kong, Nium in Singapore, and SGX in Singapore as well as Addi. She is an advisor and angel investor to countless fintechs and AI companies - and has moved into the climate space with her new venture, Terraformation. Huey is also part of an informal initiative in Singapore to bring more women to boards.

Ooi Huey Tyng (Tyng) has extensive experience across global multinationals, banks and fintech. She is an experienced Managing Director, Advisor, Board Member and Business builder with a history of working in finance, banking, payments, FinTech and services industries. Tyng has held multiple positions in Grab, and was instrumental in setting up a strong team and foundation, driving growth in GrabPay to where it is today. Tyng is an Independent Director of AIG Asia Pacific Insurance Board, Maxis Berhad and Pacific Century Group, Bridgetown 3 SPAC.

Marina is Sleek's Singapore Country Head, which provides expert accounting & corporate services for a large share of Singapore's Fintech companies. Marina is a chartered accountant with over 25 years of expertise in accounting and overseeing company finances. Prior to joining Sleek Singapore, she gained extensive experience across multiple industries, including construction, project management, professional accounting services, semi-governmental sectors, and charitable organisations. Notably, Marina also served as the proprietor of a boutique accounting firm, where she offered tailored backend administrative support to small businesses. In her current role as the country head of Sleek Singapore, Marina leads operations for a diverse client base exceeding 8,000.

Janet in her role at UOB is responsible for delivery channels serving retail and business customers across branches, self service banking, websites and champions Fintech and ecosystem partnership initiatives across the UOB group. She also oversees brand management, strategic communications, community stewardship teams across the group to achieve UOB's brand vision to build strong community relationships. Janet is a Board member of Singapore National Environment Agency, Singapore National Council of Social Service, Innoven Capital, Accuron Technologies and serves on the Advisory Councils of Nanyang Buisness School, NTU Singapore and Elevandi.

Jeeta Bandopadhyay, Co-founder and COO of Tookitaki oversees their operations, marketing and client engagements. A self-taught technology expert, she began her career with Netscribe in India. Jeeta co-founded Social Audience, an advertising technology company. Later she co-founded Tookitaki in 2014. She is a strong supporter of women empowerment initiatives and an advocate of enhanced professional opportunities for women. Her efforts for the ecosystem overall and her leadership has driven Tookitaki's growth, earning her accolades like Southeast Asia's Top 50 Rising Women in Tech, Entrepreneur of the Year Award (Women in IT) and named SG 100 Women in Tech.
Jeremy Cheong

Jeremy is an Investor at SoftBank Ventures Asia with focus on SouthEast Asia Tech. Prior to that, he has had varied experience at Goldman Sachs and Mckinsey with a background on research analysis in focus areas of Consumer, Agri, FinTech within Southeast Asia region. He holds a BSc in Economics, Summa Cum Laude at Singapore Management University.
Jeremy Soh

Jeremy Soh serves as a Vice President at Beenext with focus on pre-seed to Series A startups. In his previous experience, he worked in multiple roles as Advisor and Incubation Manager at Bridges for Enterpries, an NGO based in the University of Cambridge that aims to support social enterprise start-ups worldwide. He holds a Bachelors degree (Hons), Business Administration at National University of Singapore.
Jiaway Ko

Jiaway has built and led talent development initiatives at the intersection of startups, education, and venture capital throughout Southeast Asia. Currently, she is the Program Manager at Iterative, managing the Iterative program that guides companies through 12 weeks to significantly increase the value of startups. Previously, she was at Insignia Ventures Academy where she designed programs for aspiring founders, operators, and investors. She also previously held roles at BANSEA and e27, driving venture engagement and ecosystem content. Known for bringing structure to dynamic environments, she focuses on building platforms that enable meaningful growth.

With an engineering background, Joe has always been driven by a passion for solving complex problems. In his current role, he exclusively focuses on venture debt for Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Phillippines markets. In past he has worked as an Investment Relations Associate with NUS Alumni Ventures (NAV). During his time at the National University of Singapore, he joined two startups—one in Singapore and another in Sweden—through the NUS Overseas College Programme.

Jozua focuses on Web2 and Web3 startups in his role as an Investment Manager at Genting, the venture arm of the Genting Group. The team is always looking to back early-stage disruptive tech startups and support them in their journey. He also is parallely building a personal care brand for men, starting with a streamlined skincare system. In past, he has worked for Protege Ventures, Monk's Hill Ventures in various capacities.
Jun Ho Bae

Jun Ho has been working at Tenity for around 2 years now, and works closely with early stage fintech startups in Asia. He worked earlier with Plug and Play Tech Center as an Venture Investor, and in Private Equity/ Research roles at Newlake Alliance Management (Blackstone Advisor Korea) and The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Korea. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Marketing, Economics and Strategy at Washington University in St. Louis.
Kevin Chandra

Kevin is one of the associate directors who spearhead our investment in 500 Global SEA. Since joining the firm in late 2021, he is responsible for total of 25 new seed investment for the firm with primary verticals such as SaaS, Fintech and B2B marketplaces across different sectors. Some of early stage ‘fintech-first’ companies he brought to the firm are Ringkas, Credilinq, Yourpay and Seedflex. Kevin started his career as Investment banker before making his way into world of venture in 2018.
